The Municipality of Bucharest and creart – The Centre for Creation, Art and Tradition invite you to take part in the third edition of the cultural event called “ASPHALT SYMFONIES” which will take place between 11th and 16th of June 2016, in the Old Historical Centre of our Capital, at the crossroads between Lipscani and Smardan Streets. Every day, between 7 pm and 9 pm, all passers-by will have the opportunity to listen to classical music concerts, jazz and contemporary dances performed by young artists and renowned musicians of the Romanian lyrical world.
“ASPHALT SYMFONIES” represents an annual event which tries to bring classical music closer to the public, converting one of the most animated areas of Bucharest into a huge open air stage.
Among the artists performing in the Historical Centre, we may listen to the young baritone Johnny Alexandru, the pianists Marta Claudia Băceanu, Alice Petică, Ioana Isar, Valentin Malanețchi and Mihai Sârbu, Sânziana Cristina Dobrovicescu, Iolanta Eremia și Emilia Botezatu (violin), Georgiana Dumitru (soprano), Georgiana Pană (pan flute), Alexandra Căplescu (cello), Le Duette, Playthoveen and Trio Sense bands.
Their repertoire will include famous classical pieces belonging to well-known composers like J. S. Bach, W. A. Mozart, P. I. Ceaikovski, A. Vivaldi, G. Rossini, J. Strauss, G. Bizet, F.Chopin and so on. Classical music moments mixed with jazz interventions and short representations of contemporary dance will complete the show, alongside the beautiful atmosphere created by living statues costumes and people wearing various-themed festive costumes.
